| The map below is a hand-drawn map of how I envisioned Sumerian lands in 2631 BCE. The city of 'Lagash' should be where 'Girsu' is on the map and Girsu should be where Lagash is. Lagash was located northwest of Girsu. The two cities were closer together than shown on the map. The 'Land of the Amurru' was known as 'Tidnum' and should have been so labeled. The sea off the southeast coast of Chaldea is 'The Lower Sea,' which was the ancient name for today's Persian or Arabian Gulf. |
